If you LACK A 20-SIDED DIE, roll a 10-sided die and a six-sided die.
If the six-sided die totals 4-6, add 10 to the result on the 10-sided die;
otherwise, use as is.
Re-roll results over 15.
If you LACK A 10-SIDED DIE, roll 2 6-sided dice.
If the first die is 6, re-roll it.
If the second die totals 5-6, add 10 to the result on the first die;
if the second die is 3-4, add 5 to result;
otherwise, use as is.
Re-roll results over 15.
The tendency of Avalon Hill and its writers to refer to Romans by
the cognomen is very bad form.
Players of
Republic of Rome
may be interested in cross-identifying
characters in that game.
